Use this instead of toxic rub to warm the chest and loosen things up! Comment below any questions and let me know if you try this and what you think. Feel free to share it with friends! If DIY isn't your thing this is my favorite to buy. 

Warming Chest Rub
2TB coconut oil 
10 drops essential oil of choice (see below for some of my favorites and why)
Stir coconut oil until smooth, add essential oils, sir in essential oils, set aside in a cool spot so it gets a little firm. Alternatively you can put in the refrigerator until it turns solid and pop it out of the mixing container to rub all over chest and neck as needed. That's what I do and remember to label your container (I sometimes forget and never remember what I made!)

RC contains: Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, Myrtus communis (Myrtle) oil, Origanum majorana (Marjoram) leaf oil, Pinus sylvestris (Pine) leaf oil, Eucalyptus radiata leaf oil, Eucalyptus citriodora oil, Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) oil, Cupressus sempervirens (Cypress) leaf/nut/stem oil, Picea mariana (Black spruce) leaf oil, Mentha piperita (Peppermint) oil

Raven contains: Cinnamomum camphora (Ravintsara), Citrus limon (lemon), Gaultheria procumbens (wintergreen), Mentha piperita (peppermint) and Eucalyptus radiata

Personally I love the RC blend but both these oil blends are in your Young Living starter kit depending on if you got the 2018 kit or the current kit and both are available to order if you'd like just one bottle (wholesale or retail) 

If you don't have the blends and want them please let me know and I can help you get them. If you already have oils to use make sure they're authentic because you can't get therapeutic benefits from air freshener - that's just crazy talk! 

Note the individual oils in each blend. Any one of those individual oils is amazing by itself so mix and match if you have individual oils. Tea Tree is another good option. 

Essential oils are great for wellness and websites like PubMed.gov can tell you what ones contain antiviral and antibacterial properties. The above listed oils are amazing for winter wellness if you want to dig deeper into each one individually and look at scientific studies.
