Read more...AFT dissolves our emotional attachment to painful memories or anxious feelings about future events. During a session, we step through your memories and I guide you to reconsolidate them. This means you look at that memory and the emotions fused to it, adjust your emotions attached to it and consolidate (or bring together) your memory in a whole new way. It is rewriting neural pathways at the very core of your being.
That memory no longer means much and doesn't occupy our thoughts or interfere with our life. The memory isn't always forgotten completely. We do not forget our experience. Our beliefs and the story attached to that memory are gone.

With prescription sleep medication no longer working, I began to research, and over time I saw a bigger picture emerge. With the proper systems in place, maybe I could support better sleep or rest.
